electrical, Pet concerns, how to light the water heater, etc. This guide
is meant for anyone unfamiliar with these types of common problems that

The "Family Advisory
Committee" now has put the cabin up for rent as shown in the schedule
below. If you want to use a "rental" time slot, the FAC has
decided family has to pay a $50 cleaning fee.
You will contact Greg Pedersen
to make your arrangements. Please keep in mind that paid renters will
take priority over family when it comes to using the cabin during the
rental season. We will continue the practice of renting for some time
to help with the annual expenses incurred to keep the cabin in shape,
pay for taxes, etc.
As of June 1, 2020
We have completed a lot of work on the cabin recently. These projects
have generated large expenses such that we deem it necessary to keep our
high rent season open to the paying renters. The Covid-19 situation wiped
out all of our rentals for March, April, and May causing a major budget
shortfall. While the dates you are requesting may be open now, please
understand the family’s position. Vacasa is adding several new renters
a week now as people see the need to get away and forget the Corona stuff.
Vacasa is doing a fantastic job of filling up the remaining dates this
year and have started on 2021 rentals.
As we have discussed at our Family Representatives meetings the 1 st of
June to October 31 is the high rent season. Outside of that, 11/01 - 5-31,
family is welcome to request use of the cabin as usual for the mandatory
$50 cleaning fee if the cabin is not rented. We will continue to have
Vacasa rent the cabin all year long as they can.
I doubt most family will want to do this, but they can go directly through
Vacasa as a paying renter/not family, and pay the same as other renters.
Roughly $150-$200 per day - fee schedule is computed by Vacasa, not us.
However, let’s say you want to use the cabin on 9/02/20 through
9/04/2020 and you can see that slot is still open one week (8/27/20) before
you want it, you can let Greg know and we can probably accommodate that.
Some of the improvements we made very recently:
New Well
New Roof
Removed all carpet and replaced with laminated wood flooring
New windows throughout
New window coverings throughout
We had to replace the furnace that caught fire last fall
We had to bring the cabin up to “Safety Rental Standards”
to allow us to keep renting the cabin
In the near future, we will be replacing the kitchen cabinets and upgrading
appliances. Be sure to thank all of the volunteers for their support of
the cabin by donating their time!!!!!
